WINKEL RLE Robot Tracks provide more freedom of movement for efficient production.

Automation is growing rapidly across all industries, with the use of industrial robots. Numerous production and logistics processes, for example in the automotive industry, in machinery and plant engineering, in the food and electronics industries, would not have been possible without them. The robot axes of the linear technology specialist Winkel provide high level mobility in different designs and thus cover a particularly wide range of applications. The axes are used when an industrial robot has to move linearly - for example, along a production line - to manage its task. Combined with one or two additional linear axes, the working space of a six-axis robot can be easily and effectively increased. Winkel offers a comprehensive product range with axes for all types of robots and makes. The robots can be erected standing, side or suspended, as well as mounted on a base or floor-bound. Depending on the axle type, their weight can be between 300 and 10,000 kilograms. On a longer trav ...

Jaw (Spider) Couplings

Jaw (Spider) Couplings

Spider jaw type (Spidex) couplings are characterized by high torque capacity, light weight and low mass moments of inertia.

Spider couplings are torsionally flexible and designed for positive torque transmission, and they are fail-safe. Operational vibrations and shocks are efficiently dampened and reduced, and two congruent coupling halves with concave claws on the inside are peripherally offset in relation to one another by half a pitch. They are designed to enable an involute spider to be located between them.

These couplings are capable of compensating for axial, radial and angular displacements of the shafts that are connected. The maximum torsion angle amounts to 5°, and they can be fitted, both horizontally and vertically.

These coupling are customized to each application for our customers, below are the options available to you.

Design Type: “A” Hub- Tapered Hub / “B” Hub- Straight Hub

Materials for Hubs: Powdered Metal, Aluminum, Steel, and Cast Iron

Sizes: from 14 - 180

Optional keyways and set screws available

Bores: Most available in solid, rough stock bore (dimple) or a minimum and maximum depending on your application.

Spider Material: Polyurethane
Spider Colors and Uses:

Yellow:   92 Shore- General and Hydraulic Applications

Red:       95/98 Shore- High Torque Requirements

Blue:      80 Shore- Good Dampening properties
